Miso Glazed Mackerel Steaks
Use Yutaka Miso Soup Paste for making an authentic sauce for fish. Try it!
Miso glazed mackerel steaks (serves 2)
You will need
- Two sachets of Yutaka Miso Paste
- 50ml water
- 20ml sake (rice wine)
- One and half tbsp Yutaka mirin
- One and half tbsp sugar
- Half tbsp soy sauce
- Sliced ginger (keep some aside for the garnish)
- Two fresh mackerel steakes
Cooking Instructions
Add all the ingredients except mackerel.
Cook them on a low to medium heat in a frying pan.
When the flavours are to your taste, add the mackerel steaks and simmer with the lid on.
When the sauce gets thicker (about after 10 minutes cooking), add sliced ginger on the top and serve with rice and boiled vegetables.
