Why Semi-Polished?
 
YUTAKA SEMI-POLISHED BROWN RICE is 50% polished originario rice which is traditionally grown in paddy fields using pure fresh water from the snow of the majestic Italian alps.

Originario is a traditional premium Italian rice variety that is also perfect for making sushi.

This rice contains more fibre, calcium, iron and vitamin B1 and E than standard white rice.

The final touch is that we pack into vacuum bags immediately after semi-polishing. This keeps the rice fresh right up to the point you make your mouth-watering sushi!

Store in a cool, dry place.

Usage
How to cook sushi rice (serves 2):  

1. Put 250g of rice into a bowl and wash with cold water. Repeat 3 or 4 times and then drain the rice in a sieve.
2. Add 500ml of water and the washed rice to a saucepan. Leave to soak for 30 minutes.
3. Bring to the boil and simmer for 20-25 minutes with the lid on. Turn off the heat and leave to stand for 25-30 minutes. Do not open the l
